There are several Bible characters that significantly speak to my heart. Elijah is one of my favorites. His Hebrew name is actually Eliyah which means: My El is Yehovah. We’re given some interesting information about him in James chapter 5.

I’m presently reading through I Kings. Verses 22-61 are Solomon’s prayer of dedication after the Ark is brought into the Temple. As I was going through this chapter, I found my heart once again longing for the time when we will actually be in the presence of our Saviour Yeshua as He rules and reigns upon this earth.

“And Samuel Died” — I Samuel 25:1 So, I’m merrily reading along in 1st Samuel and the first three words at the beginning of the new chapter are: “And Samuel died.” That’s it? That’s all we get?? Three little words that just pop up in the narrative??? I want more information … please.
