God Destroys Nations

God Destroys Nations

I’m Back!

Job 12

13 With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.

14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.

15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.

18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.

19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.

21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.

22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.

23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.

24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.

25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man. —

{And people think I’m negative??}

I went to the library yesterday to drop off and pick up some items. They’ve set it up so that if you don’t want to come inside they’ll bring the items out to your car. You have to open the trunk so they can place the items in the car for you. (I find this so dumb, unnecessary and awkward.) In the past I’ve always handed what I’m returning to the lady who’s wearing a mask. But yesterday, the usual lady didn’t come out. Instead, it was a young teenage girl.

When she saw me without a mask, a brief look of concern, near panic and fear came across her face. She walked, hurriedly, over to the car and placed the items in the back. After she did that I extended my arm to hand her the items I had for return. She had that same look on her face and immediately stepped back from me and said I was to put them in the return slot. Dumb me! I didn’t realize this, since I’ve never had to do that in the past.

I felt so sorry and sad for that young girl. And I feel sorry for all the young people growing up in this. But here’s what disturbs, worries, me.

The teenage years are naturally a time in which things are questioned, not taken for granted or accepted as making “common sense”. It greatly concerns me that the youth of this nation are no longer questioning, rejecting, and rebelling. A lot of all that isn’t good, I know. But, some of it IS necessary. Otherwise you end up with no Founding Fathers’ type people in adulthood years. When the youth, along with the adults, so willingly submit to everything, then the beginning of the end has begun.

So …

Here it is a year since we’ve been told to wear these useless masks and … we’re still wearing these useless masks hoping that the vaccine will get us all back to normal. O wait … they’ve just told us it won’t. That’s a surprise.

And, on top of that, Fauci recently referred to wearing two or three masks as making “common sense”. He’s the same guy, mind you, that at the beginning of this fiasco categorically told us that wearing these masks would not give us the needed protection.

Hello 1984 and Doublethink. It just took a few years longer to get here. But it’s here!

——————————

I’m frustrated.

No … I’m beyond frustrated.

Why am I beyond frustrated?

I’m frustrated that the Nation for which so many have fought and died, is rolling over and becoming what they fought for us to NOT become.

We are a godless, immoral, socialistic nation. We are now: The Land of The Enslaved And The Home of The Cowardly. And apparently, not many people seem to care.

When did living in fear become more preferable to living in freedom? There is no freedom without fear.

Back to the verses in Job 12 ——

Does God destroy nations? Yes, God destroys nations.

Does He only destroy those nations that have been inherently bad from the early onset? No. He destroys nations that start out good and turn bad. He destroys nations that tell Him to take a hike because they no longer want to live under the Guidelines that He established in His Word, The Bible.

When a nation demeans and belittles the Word of God, kill millions of unborn babies, and flagrantly flouts its immorality in the face of Almighty God … the clock has started ticking towards the end.

Here’s my heart:

I want to be the guy that writes blogs and preaches sermons that comfort and soothe people with uplifting and hopeful words. I really do.

And you know what?

In all actuality … I am that guy. I just come at it, though, from an angle and perspective that isn’t typical. Although, it used to be.

——————————

Let me explain?

First: If I don’t write or preach what I actually believe, then I’m not worth your time. And why would you respect me if I tailored what I said to be palatable pablum? That’s not love. Not love for you anyway.

I read a book a very long time ago about child rearing. It used the term “tough love” in relation to disciplining children. I latched on to those two words. True love has to be tough love, at times. Otherwise, the parent is doing a disservice to the child in order to spare himself (the parent) from the difficult experience of issuing the discipline.

Second: I came up in my salvation experience listening to and reading preachers that preached “hard” messages. They even yelled and spit some. They even loved enough to tell people, who asked them to sign their Bibles, that if they didn’t memorize the verses written along side their name that they “WERE EITHER BACKSLIDDEN OR MENTALLY RETARDED!”

That actually happened to my brother-in-law and me many years ago by my favorite preacher and hero of the faith, Lester Roloff. What did we do after he bellowed that at us? We didn’t go sit in the corner feeling sorry for ourselves. We didn’t go back to our pastor and complain about how rudely we had been spoken to. No.

We both knew Lester said what he said because he LOVED us. He knew by personal experience what we personally needed to grasp —

That we could ONLY be conformed to the image of our Saviour by our own personal ingesting/memorizing of the Word of God. Which, by the way, seems to have fallen out of fashion among God’s people — along with personal times of prayer and Bible reading. I thank God, to this very day, that Lester Roloff cared enough to smack me upside the head.

So … I AM that guy that comforts and soothes with uplifting and hopeful words. You just have to know from whence they spring. As I did with Lester.

——————————

The verses from chapter 12 that I started with … how did they impact you? Were they “negative” or “positive”? I guess that depends upon what it is you want to hear.

I view the verses as positive and hopeful. Why? Because God uses verses such as these to motivate a people to repent of their sins and turn to Him for forgiveness through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12 —

So now, at this present moment in our history, God is speaking to America through Job.

And yes, He’s speaking to you.

And yes, He’s speaking to me.

And, the place I start is with ME.

And, that’s how I’m able to read these verses and not panic, but have HOPE.

And, that may be a good place to end this.
